Common Questions about ICF

What are the energy savings?

ICF provides a constant R23.5+, and with foam-to-foam connections offered with ICF building, the walls have the performance to reduce heating and cooling costs and puts a net zero energy goal in reach.

Blocks are 16″ tall and fully reversible, so walls stack quickly and your job moves along at a good pace. When building with ICF, there is no requirement for framing or vapour barrier – the walls are ready for drywall or siding strapping. Overall, labour is reduced.

This is where ICF shines – siding or stucco can be applied with minimal prep work.  We can install a brick ledge to support masonry, or just strap the exterior and apply siding just as you would a conventional build.  The possibilities are endless.

No! Drywall can be applied right into the face of the ICF, without having to worry about aligning the drywall edge with a web – just start the next sheet where the first sheet ends. This reduces waste and saves time and money.
